The ListingFix Amazon FBA calculator works out profit per unit by subtracting the referral fee, FBA fee, fuel surcharge, peak add-on, storage, product cost and inbound shipping from your sale price, then shows margin and ROI. Every rate is editable. Referral rates come from Amazon; the FBA and storage defaults are unconfirmed examples to replace with your own.
What this tool does
Profit, margin and ROI
Shows profit per unit, margin as a share of sale price, and ROI as a share of product cost plus inbound shipping.
Eight flat referral categories
Picking a category fills the referral rate from Amazon's pricing page, or type your own for tiered categories.
Minimum referral fee applied
Charges whichever is higher, the percentage of your price or the minimum referral fee, which defaults to $0.30.
FBA fee with add-ons
Adds your fuel surcharge percentage to the FBA fee, then the peak add-on per unit, all in editable boxes.
Storage by cubic foot
Multiplies your unit's cubic feet by the monthly rate and the months it waits to sell.
Line by line fee breakdown
Lists referral, FBA, storage, product cost and shipping separately, so you can see which one takes the most.
How to use it
1Enter your sale price, product cost and shipping to Amazon.
2Pick a category, then replace the example FBA and storage figures with yours.
3Read profit, margin and ROI, and see which fee takes the most.
Enter your sale price and costs to see what is left after Amazon takes its share. Every rate is an editable box, because your real FBA fee depends on your product's size tier, weight and price.
Referral rates come from Amazon's own pricing page. We could not open Amazon's FBA rate card, so the fulfillment and storage figures come from a consultancy's summary of it. Treat them as examples and replace them with your own.
What this calculator leaves out
It does not include the $39.99 monthly Professional plan or the $0.99 per item Individual fee, advertising, returns, inbound placement, aged inventory or storage utilization surcharges. Clothing, jewelry and media have tiered rates or closing fees, so enter those yourself. Check your final numbers with Amazon's Revenue Calculator.
Questions sellers ask
How do I calculate Amazon FBA profit per unit?
Start with your sale price and subtract the referral fee, FBA fee with any surcharge and peak add-on, storage, product cost and shipping to Amazon. This calculator does that as you type, using your own numbers. It does not include advertising, returns or your plan fee.
Where do the default fees come from?
Referral rates and the $0.30 minimum were read on Amazon's pricing page in October 2026. The FBA fee, fuel surcharge, peak add-on and storage rates come from third-party summaries of Amazon's 2026 rate cards. We could not confirm those on an Amazon page.
What FBA fee should I enter?
The $3.73 default is one example: large standard, up to 4 oz, priced $10 to $50, at the non-peak 2026 rate. Your fee depends on size tier, shipping weight and price, so get it from Amazon's Revenue Calculator or your Fee Preview report.
What is the Amazon referral fee for most categories?
This calculator's default is 15%, for categories such as home and kitchen, footwear and everything else. Computers and consumer electronics are 8%, and automotive and business categories are 12%. These flat rates come from Amazon's pricing page, read in October 2026. Clothing and jewelry have tiered rates, so type those yourself.
Why is there a peak add-on in the FBA calculator?
Sources report holiday peak fulfillment fees from October 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027, averaging about $0.32 per unit. That is an average rather than a rate for your product. Set this box to 0 outside the peak period.
How is Amazon FBA storage worked out?
We multiply your unit's cubic feet by the monthly rate and the months it waits to sell. The default of $2.40 is the reported October to December standard rate, and the January to September rate is $0.78. Change the box to match the season.
What is the difference between margin and ROI on Amazon?
Margin divides your profit by the sale price, so it shows how much of each sale you keep. ROI divides profit by product cost plus shipping to Amazon, so it shows the return on the money you put in. This calculator shows both.
Does this FBA calculator include the $39.99 monthly plan?
No. It leaves out the $39.99 monthly Professional plan and the $0.99 per item Individual fee, along with advertising, returns, inbound placement, aged inventory and storage utilization surcharges. Treat the result as profit before those costs, and subtract your own share of them.
Is this the same as Amazon's Revenue Calculator?
No. This is an independent calculator where you type or edit each rate, and it does not look up your product. Amazon's Revenue Calculator is the place to get your real FBA fee, so use it to check your final numbers, then bring the fee here.
Is this Amazon FBA calculator free, and are my numbers saved?
It is free and needs no sign-up. The sums run in your browser as you type, and the page does not save or send your costs, so your numbers disappear when you close it. Note them down if you want to compare products later.
