Finding a firm Cdiscount image spec is harder than it should be. The help article other sites point to was not readable when we checked, and the secondary sources conflict: one summary gives 500 to 3000 pixels, while seller forum posts give 1000 pixels and a 5 MB limit.
This tool takes a cautious line. Under 500 px fails, under 1000 px warns, and files above 5 MB fail. Meeting the stricter reading means your photo should still hold up if the looser one turns out to be right. Confirm the numbers in your seller account.
Sellers arriving from other marketplaces
If you already sell on Amazon, your main images are probably close to what the Cdiscount guidance describes: white background, product from the front, nothing added on top. The difference to watch is the upper limit. The summary we found caps images at 3000 px, so a 4000 px Amazon master may need scaling down, and a large file may exceed the 5 MB figure from seller forums.
Sale periods are where images tend to drift. Badges such as soldes, promo or livraison gratuite count as promotional overlays under this guidance, so put those offers in your price and listing fields and keep the photo clean.
Why we flag these rules as unconfirmed
We only mark a marketplace as checked when we read its numbers on its own page. For Cdiscount we could not, so the warning under the results stays on. One forum post also says the product should fill over 70% of the frame. We did not build that into the test because we have a single weak source for it, but filling the frame is sensible for search results anyway.
